Work in two volumes, in poor condition. Rustic hardcover binding with calligraphic titles on paper inserts on the spines, in poor condition: plates and spines very dirty and worn; missing plugs, dented headphones; in the second volume, large brown spot on the front plate and damp stain on the back plate. Dirty cuts. The leaves of both volumes are marked by more or less extensive and intense stains of humidity (the first volume is less compromised which in the second part, starting from L, has white leaves with rare foxing; in the second the brown stain on the front cover compromises the first cc up to B7 and a drop of humidity in the lower portion affects all cc). There are 16 plates at the end of the second volume: a pale gora affects plates from 12 to 16

Translation from the French of the famous Exposition anatomique de la structure du corps humain, published in 1732, by the Danish anatomist Jacob Benignus Winslow (1668-1769), the first treatise on descriptive anatomy based on direct observation of the human body without references to the writings of anatomy precedents, often crammed with details and theoretical and hypothetical explanations. In this second Venetian edition, as indicated on the title page, "The Pamphlets drawn from the Memoirs of the Paris Academy of Sciences, a Dissertation on the uncertainty of the signs of Death, and five Tables of Drake's Anthropology with the explanation translated from 'English". At the end of the second volume 16 folded engraved plates
