It is a facsimile reproduction of its first edition published in 1877 by the Ministry of Economic Development from Madrid. It includes a selection of testimonies which show an important part of our juridical culture, in the voice of those who built the destiny of New Spain, it analyzes the years 1532 to 1583. The decades in which the Spanish presence in American territory was discussed, is known as the viceregal period and are studied in this volume from 1542 to 1586.
