Chinese trunk in lacquered and painted leather, China, 20th century. Top painted with scenes of daily life, typical of oriental taste, front and sides decorated with carved and gilded papier-mâché motifs. Side handles placed within painted floral elements. Leather applied on wooden structure. Resting on an exotic wood base.

Northern Europe, Late XIX Century

19th Century / 1801 - 1900

Travel trunk in wood covered with iron foil straps fixed with studs. The metal bands are adorned with a decoration of plant racemes with flowers, made with a burin. The reserves between the metal foils are covered in velvet, now abraded adorned with a quadrangular motif with foil.

Provence Late 19th Century

Beech cradle supported by moving feet connected by crosspieces, the basket is delimited by turned elements, is equipped with a pole ending with a swan's head, used to fix the fabric curtain.

19th Century / 1801 - 1900

Wooden travel trunk covered with iron sheet bands fixed with studs. The metal strips are adorned with a decoration of plant racemes with flowers, made by burin. The reserves between the metal plates are covered in red velvet, now abraded, decorated with a quadrangular motif with foil.

Vienna Late 19th - Early 20th century

Liberty rocking cradle in bent beech, designed by Jacob and Josef Kohn at the end of the 19th century. The padding with which it is lined internally was added later. It is very curious to remember how this iconic piece of furniture was used in the 1963 film “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”, with Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni.

Bergamo, Early XVIII Century

Baroque chest supported by carved double bracket feet, the front is also richly decorated with carvings: large central blazon framed between two panels with geometric motifs and two lateral pilasters with angel heads and phytomorphic motifs. In walnut, it has restorations.

Cabinet with hinged doors in exotic wood veneer, grissinato panel, green marble top, interior in mirrored and transparent glass.

England, Early XX Century

Art nouveaubathroom cabinet in mahogany, has a pair of doors surmounted by a door whose linen compartment is also accessible from the upper flap door. Small folding door carved with a monogram and shelf with accommodation for containers and cruets; in the upper part there is a small psyche with a broken mirror.

Early, XVIII Century

Walnut console supported by lion feet, in the lower part it has a ribbed frame; it has shortcomings and embellishments, such as the coat of arms in the center of the front, added later; the poplar top is not contemporary.

Italy, XX Century

Vanity table supported by wavy legs with gilded bronze shoes, on the front it has drawers, while the top can be opened: the central part with mirror and support surface, the two lateral ones instead give access to the compartments below. Veneered in bois de rose and violette, it is decorated with maple and stained maple inlays; oak interior.

Italy second half of the 19th century
