Late Renaissance Alto-Veneto walnut box, Italy early 17th century. Top with perimetric fret pattern, decorated internal border, front carved with fret pattern, phytomorphic spirals and central coat of arms motif. Crosspieces under the top missing, hinges replaced, feet added later.

Florence, Early XVIII Century

Baroque wall table in walnut, walnut and poplar slab, Florence, early 18th century. Born as a console, the wall side was subsequently veneered in walnut to make it usable from the centre. The top, of exceptional dimensions and contemporary, is in gray bardiglio marble. Spool legs and crosspieces.

Italy, Early XVIII Century

Baroque chest of drawers veneered in walnut from the beginning of the 18th century, subsequently modified. Front with five drawers, of which the undercounter one has been reduced in height and made double, uprights at forty-five degrees, turned feet. Bronze vents and handles, poplar interior. Restorations and replacements.

Italy Early 17th Century

Late Renaissance Alto-Veneto box made of stone pine and maple, Italy early 17th century. Top with sheet metal handle, front with indented perimeter frame and carvings with phytomorphic and floral motifs, central herringbone fret pattern, all on an engraved background. Top, back and bottom in stone pine, fronts in maple. Replaced lock.

Bergamo, Early XVIII Century

Baroque walnut kneeler, Bergamo, early 18th century. Front with four drawers, one of which is in the lower section, small door on one of the two sides; decorated on the front with maple borders and carved tiles and pilasters. Fir interior. Hinges replaced.

Carved wooden Christ with remnants of coeval lacquering. Posthumous carved wooden base.

Lombardy Late 17th - Early 18th Century

Baroque mirror, the frame is carved with powerful leafy volutes, it is entirely gilded; with lacks and restorations.

Piedmont, Early XVIII Century

Baroque chest of drawers from the early eighteenth century in walnut veneer with subsequent modifications, Piedmont, 18th century. Wavy front with drawer in the band, originally a drop-down drawer, and a pair of doors, also obtained by modifying the remaining drawers. The front is decorated with olive reserves embellished with chestnut threads and a central section in elm briar. Reserves also on the sides. Entirely adorned with ebonized frames. Walnut interior.

Lombard baroque wardrobe in walnut, Italy, early 18th century. Top indentation, front equipped with a pair of paneled doors with wooden frames; paneling also present on the sides. Cantilever feet and some frames replaced. Restorations.

"Butterfield a Paris"

Leveller set square with plumb line, in gilded brass, signed “Butterfield a Paris”; there also is the inscription "pouces de Roy". Michael Butterfield (1635-1724) was an English watchmaker who moved to Paris around 1663, where he worked at the royal court and was appointed engineer by Louis XIV. He opened a shop of precision instruments, and specialized, in particular, in the production of sundials. Among his main customers is the Tsar Peter the Great, who also visited the workshop in 1717.
